This is a great 1960s dress from upmarket British label Clevaline. We have often seen this label together with a Harrods retail label who only sold the very best fashion lines during the 50s and 60s. This is a delightful textured cotton dress in what can only be described as a giant print version of the video game Tetris! It is in a wonderful shade of baby pink and soft white. The dress is a classic A-line shift design with a scoop neck, wide shoulder bands and Princess seams. There is a little scalloped detail on the collar bone and two fabric covered buttons for decoration. The dress has two concealed front pockets that follow the lines of the Princess seams. This piece fastens at the back with the original concealed metal zip. The dress is fully lined in a quality acetate with a deep bottom hem allowance. This is such a timeless example of fashion from the era which is in excellent vintage condition with no faults of any note. It can be dressed up or down and accessorised with a cardigan or jacket on chillier days. It will fit up to a UK size 10, US size 6.
